Jackie Robinson Park

Jackie Robinson Park

Located along Bradhurst Avenue from 145th street north to 155th street just south of where the Polo Grounds used to sit, Jackie
Robinson park sits at the center of a renaissance of new developments in Central Harlem. Located at the intersection of Hamilton Heights, Sugar Hill and Central Harlem, the park provides great amenities to the community.

In summer, the amphitheater plays host to free music and entertainment. Completely renovated in 2009, the area also contains plenty of benches for residents to enjoy the trees.

To the north, nearby, sits a playground for children to play. At the southern end of the park sits Jackie Robinson pool. The pool, completed in 1936 provides welcome relief from summer heat. Renovations in 2009 brought a kids-water course that provides additional entertainment for children. The
pool is free and is open from late June .

Finally, the Armory building in front of the pool hosts a large gymnasium for basketball, a workout facility, and computer labs for the area residents. The building hosts many activities throughout the year.

The park runs along Bradhurst avenue and is now situated across from several new large luxury developments including The Langston, The Sutton, and Ellington on the Park.
